Mom of the Year

Shey had his first dentist appointment this morning. Peyton didn't go till he was 3, but I had noticed some spots on Shey's front teeth that I thought I should have checked out. Actually, if I am going to be honest, I noticed his teeth were yucky a few months ago, but I didn't want to take him in too young and tramatize him. I try and brush his teeth, but he wants to do it himself and I have to fight him to get it done. I should have tried harder though because now he has three cavities and two teeth that can get there very quickly if I don't step up the brushing.

This means on his next visit, they will sedate him, then strap him down and bond the front two teeth and fill the one to the right. This is just going to suck.

Oh poor baby!

My daughter is the same way about doing it all herself. I let her do it all by herself and then I say "Ok, it's mommy's turn to do it" Whatever it is! Brushing her teeth, brushing her hair, cooking, making her lunch. She's very independant and I like that, I just go behind her and make sure it's done right.
